Master Brewer Ian Hamilton to visit Buffalo from Kilkenny, Ireland for event at Tewksbury Lodge
Today Sullivan’s Brewing Company announced “The History of Brewing Beer,” an event and discussion to be held at the Tewksbury Lodge on February 25th. Sullivan’s Brewing Company is a brewery based in Kilkenny, Ireland with more than 300 years of legendary tradition.
“Sullivan’s Brewing Company officially debuted in the United States in December 2016, and it was because of a commitment to Buffalo’s renaissance that this city was selected as our first U.S. market,” said Master Brewer Ian Hamilton. “It is a pleasure to visit once again to discuss the history of brewing with the beer-loving people of Buffalo.”

The brewing team is led by the world-class master brewer Ian Hamilton, who prides himself on craftsmanship, quality, innovation and perfecting each recipe with creative and satisfying twists. Hamilton will be joined by lead investor Michael Meade for a formal presentation of the history of brewing, following by a question and answer period.
Ian Hamilton has 35 years of brewery and packaging experience in Ireland, the United Kingdom and Africa. He is experienced in production of world-class lagers ales and stouts. Hamilton is widely considered to be one of Ireland’s most experienced technical brewers.
Michael Meade is a Buffalo native and managing director at Citi Bank. Meade completed a historic renovation of the Stella Lowry House in downtown Buffalo, has invested in a number of local enterprises and is lead investor of Sullivan’s Brewing Company.
