With no permit, The Valley Community Association was forced to cancel the “Old Neighborhood” St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 14. Rather than cancel all festivities, we decided to postpone the St. Patrick's Day event to Saturday, September 19, 2020 when we will celebrate "Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day."
Patrick Dunbar has been chosen as the Grand Marshal of the 27th edition of the “Old Neighborhood” St. Patrick’s Day Parade and will lead the procession through the historic streets of the Valley and Old First Ward neighborhoods on Saturday, March 14th, 2020. About Patrick Dunbar: Patrick Dunbar
This year the Valley Community Association will be honoring five very special people who passed away this past year, who impacted the community, and were great supporters of the Valley at the 27th Annual “Old Neighborhood” St. Patrick’s Day Parade Sponsored by Labatt USA on Saturday, March 14th, 2020. The Valley Community Association will be holding a Summer Day Camp from July 6th through August 27th for kids ages 5 to 12 years old (5 year olds must have completed Kindergarten). The camp will be held at the Valley Community Center, located at 93 Leddy Street, Buffalo, New York from 7am to 5:30pm daily.
From September 2018 to November 2019, the VCA's youth program participants began the project by exploring the nature trails located around the Valley Community Center, which will become part of the Riverline Trail.
